Roxy’s Bar for a Beer or Ten

So last night was one of closest friend’s farewell, you see in his words this could be the last time we are ever in Cape Town together. He has just completed his masters in genetics from the University of Cape Town, so he is one smart dude. He is off to Cambridge in England to do his PHD in bio- genticolophiyness….ok I don’t know what he is doing, but it’s still pretty cool. He wanted to go to his favourite local pub/bar Roxy’s so off I went to see him ‘drink us under the table’, he succeeded….check it out

I have been to Roxy’s before, but this time was probably the best. It really is just a kiff place to chill out and have ridiculously cheap drinks. R10 Black Label is crazy, and not to worry my hipster friends, they have a supply of delicious Craft Beer as well. The just of the night involved the man of the hour’s drinks being laced with Vodka shots, which was only going to end one way. Burgers and pastas all round which always hits the spot, on a side note I would try the bacon and blue cheese burger. Roxy’s staff kept very entertained with a PHD candidate stumbling around, trying to prove that “scientists” can party too. Besides this great show, the best thing about Roxy’s is that it stays open till 2am every night expect Sundays, beers are cheap and everyone is really keen to vibe. I definitely recommend checking it out.
