The Uber vs Addison Lee War Gets Better

Being something of a tech nut myself I do enjoy the London landscape. I mean in South Africa when Uber arrived it was a god send, just because there was no alternative. In London however we are blessed with so many options. Black cabs, Gett, Hailo, Addison Lee etc. Addison Lee for a long time was the big kid on the block, but since Uber came in with it's new shiny cool appeal, people have been waiting for competition to just roll over and die. However Addison Lee have done the opposite, they have been forced to step it up and this new feature Snooze is exactly the kind of tech advance that will keep them in the game.

First Superman and Batman and Now the Suicide Squad, DC Drops Another

I have just recovered from watching the New Trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now this. DC and Warner Brothers studios has released the Suicide Squad trailer for us. As some of you will know, Batman does make an appearance. But what is the best news is that the Joker looks awesome. There was a lot of fear that it was just to hard an act to follow but Jared Leto looks great. Just take a look for yourself.

Wow, just wow. The new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just dropped at comic-con and it looks awesome. This is a movie I am really looking forward to. Great characters, great action and just great. Have I mentioned great enough. Don't believe me have a look for yourself below. 

Diving into Shoredich Street Art

You walk around any city and you will notice that there is graffiti or tags on a building or something or other. This is just the way of modern society. I have to admit that I have not always paid attention to it. Every now and then I would see something and think "wow, that's cool", but I have always associated this type of thing with sort of an illegal vibe. I am a lover of art, however this has never been one of the mediums that I was particularly fond of. Oh how wrong I was.

Interstellar Trailer Shows Us Something Awesome

Christopher Nolan, the man who brought us the Dark Knight trilogy and Inception, now brings us this beauty. Interstellar! It has an all star cast, including Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. I watched the first trailer a while back and it was awesome, but this one is even better. There are some really good movies coming out and I tell you, I can't wait for this one.

FURY! - Now this looks like the Brad Pitt of Movies

This trailer is just plain awesome Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman etc etc. Not often do you watch a trailer and feel yourself jumping off of your seat. Well this is one. And with the one liners that Mr Pitt was dropping I pretty sure there will be Oscar noise soon enough. It's a WWII epic, which I always love, I mean who doesn't. And it centers around a battle hardened crew that man a Sherman tank. Need I say more? Just watch the trailer already!

This is How you Market a Movie: New X-Men Nails it!

Now the hype is already huge for any Marvel movie. And it must be said that any X-Men movie is right up there with the most anticipated. The new Days of Future Past looks great. If you area  a comic book fan then you will know what it is all about. If you are not then don't fear because the marketing guys behind the upcoming film have done some great things. 25 Moments (<<click click it's fantastic) is a website that integrates real historic events with events from the movies and comics. It is also great to see how they have tried their best to link up all the X-Men movies as best they can, even the shitty first ones. The Bent Bullet  is another great website that adds to the back story of the movie. Did I mention great marketing!

First Legal Betting App in SA

I do enjoy a good bet, and sports betting is my guilty pleasure. So I can not really express how thrilled I am. Sportingbet are my betting company of choice and I have been tweeting and asking why on earth there is no app that I could use to place quick bets. I mean there are mobile sites, but they just don't do the trick.....so Hooray for Sportingbet that they have the first legal betting app in South Africa. Remember That Guy Who Built a Big Boat?

Noah! Yip a biblical tale, a tale as old as time, a tale we all know or at least should. And what is more the movie looks great. My favourite actor is Russell Crowe so they had me there. It comes out only next year, but from the look of the trailer it is worth waiting for. Take a look.

The Hobbit Ahhh a Sneak Peek

Yes they have turned a rather short book into 3 films, yes we have to wait for them to come out and yes this is only the 2nd one. But what the hell are you complaining about. I wish they had made 6 Lord of the Rings and they left out such juicy stuff. So this is a win for me. I am however a massive fan and this latest trailer for the 2nd film is awesome. Take a look below and if you don't want to watch it, well then you are an idiot...

Captain America The Winter Soldier Trailer - EPIC

I am a huge Marvel fan, I mean most guys are, but there of course have been a few lemons that have hit the big screen. Captain America was one of those. The problem with the Captain is that he is such a powerful figure in the comics, but bringing him to the big screen is a challenge. After all his costume is rather ridiculous, and there are features that are just hard to put forward to a first time audience. However Captain America The Winter Soldier seems to be taking a much better route. I mean as far as I can see from the trailer it looks far darker....and that is awesome.

It's no secret we live in an age where people seek instant gratification. Love, sex, money, fame, success, happiness - we all want it and we want it now. We as a generation are no longer prepared to put in the commitment and time these things so desperately need to prosper properly and become long lasting.

If You Could Meet 5 People.....

Have you ever thought to yourself, after watching something on TV or reading a book or doing anything really, damn...I sure would like to meet him/her. Well I find myself doing that more often than you would think. So I thought, why not put down a list of 5 people that I would like to meet. There are only two rules. The person has to be alive at the time you make the list and the person has to actually exist. It was a really tough decision actually narrowing them down, but I finally did it. And here they are, the top 5.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.....Oh yes

Oh yes it is almost here the second installment of the Peter Jackson Trilogy the Hobbit. This one is called the The Desolation of Smaug, and looks delicious. We get to see some cool elves, including Legolas from Lord of the Rings. Gandalf looks like he is off doing wizardy things, and Bilbo is playing in the trees. Oh yes and Smaug of course, the dragon. Can you tell I am a fan? Of course you can. I can not wait for this this to hit the big screen, I'll be there with my elf ears and bow. Take a look at the trailer below.

What's so Great about Gatsby?

The Great Gatsby a classic, a masterpiece and something you all probably read in high school, maybe you watched the original movie as well, which was terrible by the way. But the point is, we have all one way or another heard of the Great Gatsby. Maybe you have only gotten to know it recently with the new movie starring Leonardo Di Caprio, or like myself you have done all 3. I recently watched the new movie and before I did, I had come across more than one unfavourable review. So naturally I went into it expecting little. What did I think though?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I don't normally wirte reviews on movies, I am more the kind of guy that will put a trailer up, and say...HOW COOL DOES THIS LOOK. But in this case I just have to say a few things about this movie. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, and more so it probably ranks on my all time top ten. That list has the likes of Shawshank, Gladiator and LOTR so you can just tell how much I enjoyed it. Do yourself a favour and give it a watch, I promise you that you will thank me...so in advance...You're welcome.

Kick-Ass 2 It Looks Great

Why does this look so awesome, well because the first one was so awesome. If that is not enough, then, Jim Carrey is in it and he looks great. This has been dubbed the ’Dark Knight chapter’ of the Kick-Ass trilogy. There are loads more characters that have joined theh crusade to clean up the streets and don the tights. But Red Mist is back and he is matching them move for move. Take a look at the trailer below.

Thor - The Dark World

We were given a little taste into the next Thor installment, called The Dark World, its packed full of action, darkness and my favourite Natalie Portman. It seems that all Super Hero movies are following the formula that the Dark Knight introduced with its....well darker elements. You know what I mean, where our Hero is facing unbelievable odds and he is also facing a dark conflict. Iron Man, Superman and Thor seem go this way as does seem the new Wolverine. Anyway for me the first Thor was a real let down, but this one looks awesome. Take a look at the vid below.

A Sick Track: BIRDS OF TOKYO - LANTERNS

If you haven't heard of them, then it is time that you have. The Birds of Tokyo are epic. Also if you haven't heard of them consider this my gift to you. Their new album March Fires has been out for a little while now. And this is my pick, it is just a real banger. Lanterns, does not disappoint, it's that kind of song that you can close your eyes and imagine it playing in the background for the soundtrack of your life.
